Benjamin Franklin Bridge Steel Painting Project | March 23, 2008
The final phase of the Delaware River Port Authority’s (DRPA) Ben Franklin Bridge renovation project will begin soon. The cleaning and painting project will complete the Philadelphia approach span of the bridge and will have an impact on Old City residents. Tenting of the bridge will likely entail two 24-hour shifts, and the potential closure of Florist Street, which runs parallel to the bridge, would result in limited parking and pedestrian access. The dates and schedules have not yet been confirmed.
