In an exciting announcement on Sunday, March 1st, Mayor Nutter along with Councilman DiCicco held a press conference on the Delaware River to declare that Pier 11 will undergo a transformation, converting the now defunct space into a much needed Public Park.
This endeavor is made possible through a generous 1 Million dollar grant provided by the William Penn Foundation, who is also reponsible for funding the establishment of the Penn Praxis Action Plan for the Central Delaware. The money will also help fund a Public Access Action Plan to improve public access to the Riverfront.
